Welcome!
During my twenty years as a classroom teacher, I became a strong advocate for inquiry and project-based learning. While teaching, I obtained a Master's degree in professional development focusing on science education and authored many science books for children and teachers, while adding curriculum development and leadership training to my skills.
Ten years ago I began designing and teaching online university courses, and realized instructional design was a perfect fit with my expanding interest in adult learning and teacher education. Boise State University offered an opportunity to increase my skills through a project-based Masters' Degree in Education Technology and a certificate in Online Adult Education.
In addition to teaching, my work experience includes managing a global education program, designing online courses for numerous universities, designing content to facilitate the use of real time data, and constructing communities of practice to extend learning.
Always a lover of learning, I am attracted to the tremendous opportunity to make connections through the Internet. I strive to take on a leadership role as an advocate for authentic learning based on a constructivist approach for both social and individual growth.
I invite you to take a look through the pages of this website to discover my contributions and opportunities as I continue on the amazing rich and rewarding path of education and instructional design.
